The surface treated by cutting with a cutting tool has a layer different from the inside, which is caused by forces acting on it, the heat generated and the heat applied to it, at the time. We call this layer Damaged Surface Layers. In this report, author makes examinations of Damaged Surface Layers of carbon steel by means of Local Electric Resistance Heating on which we reported in the previous paper.
