中国の教育を語るとき、格差問題は避けて通れない。その格差は小学校から大学まで広がっている。特に都市部と農村の教育格差について、その現状や原因の追及などは様々な研究論文やマスコミ報道等で明らかにされている。しかし、具体的に都市部の学校は農村部の学校とはどのような格差があるかについて、調査して実証的に研究することはあまり見かけない。本稿は中国の義務教育段階の普通中学校2校を比較し、都市部の学校と農村の学校との格差の内実を実証的に解明したものである。
