For the isolation and differentiation of enterococcus group, six selective media were investigated. Results were as follows: 1. The No.5 medium was superiro to other media examined for the selective isolation of enterococcus group. 2. Three species with one variety of enterococcus group were easily cultivated and differentiated on the modified medium. 3. Differentiation of the colonies of Streptococcus faecalis ver. Liquefaciens on the modified medium was not successful. (Received June 30, 1973)
