拙論『システィナ礼拝堂天井画の巫覡像を巡る考察』は、『預言者ヨナの幻視――ミケランジェロのシスティナ天井画の構造について――』（1-3、「山口大学文学会誌」、第三十六巻、1985、第三十八巻、1987、第三十九巻、1988）の第三章「ヨナの幻視」の部分として構想されたものである（構想の全体については小生のホーム・ページhttp://homepage.mac.com/kokutsu/Sites/Okutsu/Sistina/vision.htmlを参照されたい）。預言者についての考察は、当時のままであるが、巫女については新たな所見を付加して加筆訂正している。新たな所見とは、バルディーニの銅版画中の巫女の託宣の内容が、天井画の巫女の配列と対応しうる可能性の確認である。巫女の順序は、創世記の物語と神秘的に対応する新約聖書の物語のそれである。
